The following is a (edited) report lifted from the ISKA website. “The ISKA ASIAN title fight in 72.3kg under Oriental rules was the highlight of the evening where the very experienced Red Dragon Master Khoo faced off against the young & talented Hamidreza Mohamadpour. The fight started with a series of long & hard combinations by Mohamadpour. Master Khoo looked a little taken aback by the speed & aggression of Mohamadpour. But Master Khoo did not show any sign of backing down from the fight. The crowd were so excited that almost everybody were standing on their feet. At the end of the 1st round Mohamadpour’s jumping knee kick caused a cut under Khoo’s right eyebrow. This had to be taken care of by Khoo’s cutman. In the 2nd round Mohamdpour kept on pushing the pressure on Master Khoo & this caused profuse bleeding from the cut & the Doctor of the contest had to be called in and he stopped the contest. Mohmadpour is now the ISKA ASIAN CHAMPION.” More pictures and details on the READ MORE tab below! Above you can see some pictures of Master Khoo’s fight. As the report suggested, Hamid was quite aggressive and surprised Master Khoo with a jumping knee. As much as Master Khoo wanted to continue the fight, the cut was bleeding to profusely and the Doctor was forced to call the fight. But no matter, Master Khoo is still our own champion! Stay tuned for more news of Master Khoo’s recent trip to Miri, where he took one of TNT’s own, Ding for a tournament there. And he will also be travelling to Dubai in July, bringing Malaysian Wushu Champions there! |
